Error Messages

Just purchased subscription and I cant download latest issue....continue getting an error message. Very disappointed!

App wont open?

Cant open the app?

Disappointed

I cannot access magazine even though I have subscribed. No response from CR or APP support (Apple). Will be demanding a refund.

Cant open latest or earlier issues

As a fully paid subscriber, I expect that I should be able to tap the app icon and get the magazine I paid for. Instead its a painful exercise of trying to delete/reinstall/cross my fingers and hope that Ill be able to read what used to be so incredibly simple to buy from a local magazine shop. The Consumer Reports app is NOT a Recommended Best Buy.

No Retina Display.

It is a great magazine but the app is FAR from perfect. There is no retina display support, and the app hasnt been updated for 6 months. Also it is slow and downloading magazines is confusing and slow. Needs improvement.

Dissatisfied consumer

Well, I purchased what I thought was access to consumers magazine. But no, what I have is a useless app and if I want to read a current consumer magazine I pay five bucks per issue. Something is wrong here and I suggest consumers inc. review this process as they would anything else and this could be found under section "sucker every day".

People confuse access to consumerreports.org to subscribing to the magazine

Mag. Subscription and access to consumerreports.org are not the same thing. One does not include the other. Note you can choose what to compare on the site etc or read the articles in the subscription. Know which you want before you buy.

Mr

If you think youre gonna get what you have on your PC youll be very disappointed. Very surprising from a prestigious magazine.

No retina display

Really annoying to read when all the text is fuzzy...

Paid, but no access!

I paid for 2 previous issues at $5 each, and liked them, so I purchased a subscription for a further $25.00. I am now out $25, and have no idea how to get a refund. I do not have access to the latest issue. There is no contact us available. Sincerely upset. The app itself wants me to pay a further $5.00 for this months issue. Do not purchase a subscription! There is something wrong here! I wouldnt care if I was out a buck or two...but this is $25!

Piece of crap

This app does not work. I went in circles to log in. Each time was asked my user name and password. It would not let me use the same one I had on my PC. Then I had to enter my account number and zip, only to be sent back to the start again. Deleted. I have subscribed to the magazine on and off over the years and find it particularly American now. Not quite so useful for a Canadian. I dont believe I will be subscribing again.

Great app

I think some of those here having trouble suffer from stupid user syndrome. I have a retina display iPad and this app is clear and crisp. No problems at all. I had no problem downloading or installing. Great app good info and Ill continue getting them.

A rip

This app is a rip ...be ware.

Consumer Support?

I had to switch my iPad and havent been able to get access since, despite having an annual subscription. Im using my email address and it says it doesnt have me in the database but today iTunes contacted me to advise of an automatic update. No way to contact for issues - Im cancelling one of my favourite subscriptions

DO NOT USE THIS APP OR CReports

Went to the CR site to buy a site subscription. On the site site is the big, shiny ad to use the Ipad app. I downloaded the app. I "subscribed" to what turns out to be the e-magazine only!!!!! I paid thinking it will give access to the site. NO WAY. And even though they have a big juicy "sign in" tab, you need an account to access it, but, ready for ? THEY DONT GIVE YOU AN ACCOUNT WHEN YOU USE THE VERY IPAD APP THEY ENTICE YOU TO USE!!!,! When I called to fix, i was told only paper mags get an account. Even better, and this is a quote, "we dont get the money sir, Apple Itunes does!" So if you buy anything, CR will actually deny having a relationship with you at all. SO, IN AN ERA OF GREENING THE PLANET, CR ACTUALLY PENALIZES YOU FOR NOT TAKING THE PAPER MAGAZINE!!!! If you take the mag at your door, you get the discount to the site, but if you order the exact digital replica of the mag, using the app they market, you dont. Know why? yup, you need an account number, which you cant get because "we dont get the money sire, Itunes does!!!!!, And, on the phone it was CR that informed me that the MAG ONLY CONTAINS 80% of the content on the site (doled out monthly)!

Not working

Using this app for the last 6 months without problem but as of today the app is not working. Keep sending me back to newsstand when i tap the CR app.

Gone

Bought suscription and cannot access anymore. Does not login from my IPad 4 anymore. Was good when was working !

Very disappointed

I purchased the magazine App subscription and was able to read current issues until recently. The App continually crashes when I go to open the Consumer Reports magazine from the Newsstand. So I have paid for a magazine subscription that I can no longer read...feeling ripped off. Better off with the typical printed hard copies, or ignoring all together. Very disappointed.

Cant Zoom or change font

Cant zoom or increase font making some articles hard to read. Otherwise excellent app & user friendly.

Finally, retina display, zooming and in article animations!

This update has finally fixed my biggest annoyance about the previous app which was the low resolution. Articles are now high resolution and look great on the retina display. Double tap zooms in on an article and some articles now have animations and video clips embedded. Registration for me worked at no extra cost above my print subscription. App is now even better than the print subscription. Thank you for this update!
